THE BLACK FILES — COMMUNITY RULES & CONTENT POLICY

PART 4 OF 4 — LEGAL & PLATFORM POLICIES

These rules are divided into four parts because of forum post-length limits. All four parts form one complete policy and apply equally to every member.


SECTION 19 — LAW ENFORCEMENT & LEGAL REQUESTS

19.1 — Valid Legal Process

The Black Files may preserve or disclose information when required by applicable law, a valid court order, warrant, production order, subpoena, or other legally binding process.

Whenever legally permitted and operationally reasonable, requests may be reviewed for validity, scope, jurisdiction, and proper authority.

19.2 — Emergency Requests

Information may be voluntarily preserved or disclosed where permitted by law if The Black Files reasonably believes that an emergency involving imminent death, serious bodily harm, child exploitation, or another grave danger requires urgent action.

19.3 — Preservation Requests

The Black Files may preserve identified records in response to a lawful preservation demand or when preservation is reasonably necessary in anticipation of legal proceedings.

Preservation does not automatically mean disclosure.

19.4 — No Promise of Anonymity

The Black Files does not guarantee that a member is anonymous or unidentifiable.

Depending on available records and system configuration, account information may include:

Registration details
Email addresses
Login records
IP addresses
Device or browser information
Content history
Moderation history
Security logs
Relevant private messages

Information will be handled according to applicable law, the Privacy Policy, and legitimate operational needs.

19.5 — Legal Contact

Legal requests should be sent to:

Requests should identify the requesting authority, legal basis, records sought, relevant accounts or URLs, applicable dates, and any response deadline.


SECTION 20 — RECORD PRESERVATION & DELETION

20.1 — Deleted Content

Deleting content or closing an account may remove it from ordinary public view, but it may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, moderation records, legal holds, or other systems.

20.2 — Reasons for Retention

Information may be retained when reasonably necessary to:

Operate the platform
Prevent fraud and abuse
Investigate violations
Enforce restrictions
Maintain security
Resolve disputes
Meet accounting or business obligations
Comply with legal duties
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Protect users or the public

20.3 — No Evidence Concealment

Members must not use deletion tools to obstruct an investigation, violate a preservation obligation, or conceal evidence of serious wrongdoing.


SECTION 21 — PRIVACY & SECURITY

21.1 — Privacy Policy

The collection, use, retention, safeguarding, and disclosure of personal information are governed by the separate Privacy Policy.

These community rules do not replace that policy.

21.2 — Security Limitations

The Black Files will take reasonable steps to protect its systems and information, but no internet service can promise perfect security.

Members should avoid publishing sensitive information and should use unique passwords and available security features.

21.3 — Security Research

Do not probe, scan, exploit, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to the platform.

Potential vulnerabilities should be reported privately to:

Do not publicly disclose an uncorrected vulnerability when doing so would place users or systems at risk.


SECTION 22 — USER CONTENT & PLATFORM POSITION

22.1 — Independent User Contributions

Most forum content is created by independent users.

Unless clearly identified as an official statement, user content does not represent the views of The Black Files, its owner, administrators, moderators, hosting providers, contractors, or affiliated parties.

22.2 — No Verification Guarantee

The Black Files does not guarantee that user content is accurate, complete, current, authentic, lawful, safe, professionally reviewed, free from bias, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Members must evaluate claims and sources independently.

22.3 — No Endorsement

Hosting, organizing, labelling, linking to, discussing, or failing to remove content immediately does not constitute endorsement.

22.4 — No Reliance

Members use information from the platform according to their own judgment and at their own risk.

Do not make medical, legal, financial, security, or other high-stakes decisions solely from anonymous forum content.


SECTION 23 — BAN EVASION

23.1 — Evading Restrictions

Do not create or use another account to avoid a restriction.

Do not permit a banned member to operate through your account.

23.2 — Associated Accounts

Accounts reasonably connected to serious ban evasion, coordinated abuse, fraud, or platform attacks may also be restricted.

Shared networks alone will not always prove that accounts belong to the same person. Staff may consider multiple technical and behavioural indicators.


SECTION 24 — CHANGES TO THESE RULES

The Black Files may update these rules as the community, platform, and applicable legal requirements evolve.

Material changes may be announced through the forum or another reasonable method.

Continued use after updated rules become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised rules to the extent permitted by law.

Members are responsible for reviewing the current version.


SECTION 25 — FINAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By accessing, registering for, or using The Black Files, you acknowledge that:

The forum contains controversial and disputed subject matter.

User claims may be inaccurate, disturbing, offensive, or unverified.

User content does not automatically represent the platform's views.

You are responsible for your own submissions and conduct.

You will not use the platform for unlawful activity.

You will respect privacy, safety, intellectual property, and applicable law.

The Black Files may moderate content and accounts to protect the community and operate lawfully.

Valid legal demands and genuine emergencies may require the preservation or disclosure of information.

No community rule can override applicable law.

Question everything. Investigate carefully. Post responsibly.


THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF THE FILES

1. Question everything, but do not fabricate evidence.

2. Clearly separate fact, allegation, opinion, experience, and speculation.

3. Source serious claims and correct material errors.

4. Do not threaten, stalk, harass, dox, or organize attacks against anyone.

5. Criticize conduct, institutions, governments, and ideologies—not entire groups of people.

6. Do not post illegal sexual material, non-consensual intimate imagery, stolen credentials, malware, or operational instructions for serious harm.

7. Do not accuse private individuals of serious crimes without a legitimate factual basis.

8. Do not use the forum to coordinate unlawful activity or interfere with investigations.

9. Respect copyright, privacy, account security, and moderator decisions.

10. Keep digging—but understand that open discussion does not mean consequence-free posting.


IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE

These rules establish standards for using The Black Files. They do not constitute legal advice, create a guarantee of user safety, or replace the platform's separate Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

No policy can prevent every violation or eliminate every legal risk. The Black Files reserves the right to respond to dangerous, unlawful, abusive, or harmful conduct as reasonably necessary and as required or permitted by applicable law.

Members remain responsible for ensuring that their own conduct and submissions comply with the laws applicable to them.

The Black Files does not provide legal, medical, financial, or investigative services.

By continuing to use The Black Files, you confirm that you have read and agree to all four parts of the Community Rules and Content Policy.
